JAZZ and SAMBA
JAZZ and SAMBA – November 8, 2013
It was the legendary JAZZ and SAMBA Concert at New York's Carnegie Hall in 1962 that was the BIG BANG moment to launch an exciting new sound from Brazil that merged Samba and American jazz into a newly created sound called Bossa Nova. This new music genre was created by Brazilian musicians Antonio Carlos Jobim, Joao Gilberto, and Luiz Bonfa, and popularized by jazz stars Stan Getz and Charlie Byrd.
